So we finnaly decided which week we are going to cruise. Jan 22. To late to get any early discount and all other discounts we might have qualified for were unavailable and all the balcony cabins were booked. All in all however it is GREAT to have a cruise scheduled.

We called Carnival as usual and had the web site open. We could see on the web that E75 was available but the carnival agent said it was not. So we book E171 and watched that cabin disappear on the web. E75 was still "available" on the web. We don't really care but our first choice was E75. Any thoughts on why the phone agent could not book us our first choice?

Dwayne, how was your Fantasy Cruise? Did you see my daughter? The new cast took over early so she should have been on stage.

Unfortunately no.

I did try several times though. They all knew her, but didn't know where she was each time I asked. I probably should have asked CD Risa to find her. I think I saw her on stage.

Thanks, my Fantasy cruise was Fantastic! I saw so many old crew friends from other ships on board. I used to say the Elation had the best crew. That title in my humble opinion now goes to the Fantasy.

Congrats on booking the Fantasy. You will love the ship and crew..needless to say. I'm already planning my next one for late April/early May. I'm also going to be on board before the drydock next month for lunch and a look see. Word is she isn't going to get the new balconies during this next drydock. They've been known to surprise us though.

The only thing I know about the disappearing cabins is their website and the PVP's use 2 different systems for booking. Sometimes if you hold a cabin on the web site it will make it unavailable for the PVP's. This happened to me on this cruise. Come to find out, I was the one holding it so they just re-opened it for me to book directly. You might want to try it again.

Is your daughter going to work on board during drydock or coming home? If she stays on board, tell her Lido bar manager Larry is going to go fishing at Freeport and is going to bring the fish he catches on board to pan fry.

CruiseDad, E-75 is now open! Grab it! It is an adjoining cabin with E-77 though, just so you are aware. It is a perfect location though in my opinion. I always try to get mid-ship Empress near the Atrium.

Dwayne, Maybe you can say hi on the next cruise. If you saw the show Ticket to Ride while on board there was a dance with 1 girl and 4 guys, that was her!!

She will leave the ship for dry dock but her husband will be on working. I wonder if he likes Fish.

They both really like the Fantasy. It wouldn't surprise me to have them stay on for several contracts in a row. The cruise after this next one will be our tenth, perhaps we should treat ourselves to a suite on that one.

We really didn't have any of the big production shows like Ticket to Ride on the cruise. We had Nightclub Express and Showtime featuring Ron Joseph. The Fantasy dancers came out for the Nightclub Express show. Must have been because of the cast change or something.

I'm not sure how long they'll let me roam the ship next month for the luncheon before they kick me off, but I'll try again. Hopefully I'll run into Risa and she'll help me find her.

The ticker looks GREAT! Hope I have mine up in the next few days.

You should be able to change your cabin if you want.

Well they wanted us off the ship by 3pm so I didn't get to roam around much. I did get to go to the Lido deck and visit my crew friends. They seemed so glad to see me and I got a big hug from one of the bartenders. They were disappointed I wasn't going on the cruise. It amazes me they can remember people's names a month later. Everyone said Hi Dwayne! Maybe I spent too much time at the bar?

CruiseDad, if you talk with your daughter soon please ask her to say hi to Edward for me. He bar-tends at the atrium bar and the one outside the casino. He is a longtime crew friend of mine.
