Yes, the door slamming is just a sign of an uneducated upbringing.....

That's most likely the reason. Thank goodness most people still have some manners and a civilized social conscientious. I see it slowly fading away though. The worst I ever had was a group a few cabins down with their doors propped open across from each other. They must have thought it was ok for them to be having loud discussions in the hallway as if they had adjoining cabins.

Security had a word with them.
