We took our first cruise last Jan on the Pride, and loved it. We are planning on for next Jan. What is your favorite Carnival ship, and why? We (55)son (36, daughter in law (40) and younger son (25) will all be going together. Thanks!
Not specific to a ship but I am fond of the Spirit class ships. It is easily the best design in the Carnival fleet. I think they would have been wise to build more of them and not all of those variations on the Destiny class. The Destiny/Triumph/Conquest vessels are cluttered and have poor passenger flow in my opinion. On the other hand the Spirit class ships have logical layouts and are more elegant.
I agree. The first time I stepped aboard the Carnival Pride my reaction was "This doesn't look like a Carnival ship". I've grown accustomed to the Conquest class, and particularly the Carnival Glory. It took two cruises on her though to get my way from forward to aft down pat depending on which deck I was on. Overall, I would prefer a Spirit class ship...I just love them!
We really like the Pride also, but the Spirit is the ship for us. Seems like the minor changes in layout and decor works for us.
However all ships are great.
I am not sure if the Glory is one of the Spirit Class of Carnival ship.
It was my favorite Carnival ship (of the 3 I cruised on) because I really enjoyed my cruise I had on the Glory. I don't think that the Glory was necessarly better than the other 2. It just so happened that everything turned out great on that cruise (by the luck of the draw).
Oops! I should have read Dwayne's post before I posted. If I had I would have learned that the Carnival Glory is in the Conquest Class of ships; not the Spirit class.
favorite ship? I think you are talking about design, not the one that we had the most fun on. Design...The legend. But it was not my favorite cruise. I am still wondering where the cruise director was during the cruise. Most fun hands down... The Glory

My favorite cruise was the Glory as well. Lots of shows in which my daughter danced and that was key. But Overall it was a cruise I remember more than any other except my first cruise. For ship design Spirit class hands down. Been on the Spirit and heading on the Miracle in March.
