Nothing wrong with that. In fact all of my OBC's have been based on the Past Guest rate while booking with the Early Saver rate. Sometimes depending on how early you book the Past Guest rate will not be available yet. I like it because if the Past Guest rate drops after the final payment date you are price protected when using Early Saver.
It does have the disadvantage of the non-refundable deposit and the $50 per person Admin fee if you have to change your cruise.
