First Time Cruiser on Glory for honeymoon

My fiancee and I will be on our honemymoon on the Glory in August. Any suggestions for first time cruisers on a honeymoon on the Glory? First timer tips? Glory tips? (I think I can handle the honeymoon aspect myself).

We went on the Glory in March and it was wonderful! It wasn't really a private but I am sure you will find your own private spots. I would DEFINITELY reccommend the Emerald Room, it was SOOO Worth the little bit of extra money. I think I would request a dinner table where you can see the water too!

We have a balcony cabin guarantee. So, I am sure our balcony will offer us a built in "private spot". Not to appear ignorant, however, but is the Emerald Room an alternative restaurant? If so, what is the cost and how and when do I make reservations?

I leave in 2 weeks and have some last minute questions: How do I make reservations for the Emerald Room? What time is the earliest we can board the Glory? My fiancee wants me to ask if anyone knows if the hair dryers are any good and where they are located?

Hi John congratulations on your upcoming wedding. I would recommend getting to the port around 11:00 or so in the morning. Once you get through the embarkation process, you should be able to board by noon and sometimes even earlier, this will make you one of the first to get on the ship. Your cabin may not be ready, so take this time to go to the Lido deck and enjoy the lunch buffet and to explore the ship. Usually you can get into your cabin by 1:00 or so. After boarding ask any of the staff members you see and they will direct you to the Emerald Room where you can make your reservations. You definetly do not want to make those reservations for the formal nights, because the main dining rooms have such excellent food and presentations during that time.

As far as the hair dryers, that is a hit and miss thing. We have been on some ships where the dryers were good, and others where they were not that powerful. If your fiance depends on a hair dryer then she might want to throw hers in her suitcase to be on the safe side.
