carnival spirit & dolphin encounter

Hey
We're on the Spirit march 8/06.
Has anyone been to the dolphin encounter at ixtapa? We have 3 kids eager to go, but are not sure if it is worth the $.
Also wondering how the non participating adults get there and back? Would the fee/kid also cover the parent's cost to accompany them?

I would be quite surprised if they let you board the transportation to the dolphin encounter without a tour ticket. These tours are hugely popular and they don't have spare seats for non-participating passengers. Although the minimum age is 8, the intent is that kids are accompanied by an adult during the tour, which means that whether or not you want to get in the water, you will have to pay.
