Which ships are better: those in the Spirit class (Carnival Spirit, Pride, Legend, Miracle) or those in the Conquest class (Conquest, Glory, Valor, Liberty, Freedom)?

Of course the conquest class ships are newer but are they much different? And what about ships WITHIN each class - is there much difference?

I would recommend the conquest class it is bigger and very nice. I have been on the conquest, glory, valor, and pride. We are actually going on the glory this sept. for the second time. The layout can be a little confusing but you get to know your way around the ship very fast.
If you have any more questions just ask.

I think the Spirit class ships have 80% ocean view rooms so chances of being upgraded to an oceanview room if booking an inside room would be greater. A lot of people think this ship class is just the right size.

The Conquest class is a newer, larger ship. I guess it just depends on what you like. I've never been on either class of ships. Just the Holiday and next month I'll be cruising on the Fantasy. I hope to try the other classes on my next cruise.

I guess you can't go wrong either way.

I've done Glory, Pride, and Legend (Pride and Legend are Spirit class). Spirit class is by far the best (have never done Destiny class). Because the passenger count is so much less, but the ship isn't all that much smaller, you never really feel crowded. In both cruises we never had trouble getting seats in any of the lounges or the theater. I really love that class ship. Even during the at sea days we still found deck chairs (although you did have to hunt a bit). But in comparison I really liked the Spirit class over Conquest Class. But not to be dismayed, we are doing Freedom in Oct. After all, cruising is cruising. It's all good.

We have sailed the Glory (Conquest Class) and the Miracle (Spirit Class). We enjoyed the Glory much better. Seemed like more activities to do during sea days. We also enjoyed the food better. Loved the Fish & Chips . We are booked on the Valor this October.

Have been on Pride and Glory. I like the smaller Spirit Class ie Pride.

I will miss the Fish N Chips on the Conquest Class ie Glory. But the layout is so much better on the Spirit Class.

The deck space and flow is great. And mind you those ships are pretty new too. To pick between the two if were the same ports and cost, Spirit Class for me.

I did not know they re-furbished these young ships.

I thought if they did carpet and things was just maintenance.

Here I go learning again

We've done both Conquest and Pride. We prefer the layout of Pride much better. Easier, user-friendly, no dead ends. It's a personal preference.
