I dont know if yall know this but if you book a cruise within 60 days of returning from a cruise they will give you a 50 dollar discount on the next cruise. my sister is my cruising partner. we booked a cruise 5 days after she returned from a carnival cruise and they didnt offer it to us. I read about it on another cruise board...called carnival and they are giving us the credit. just wanted to pass it along.

in the past 3 cruises i have been on,Carnival has not sent out the $50.00 discount. I think they have slowed that program down for financial reasons. i use to get one and yes book one asap, but not since they stopped issueing me one.so i just sit and wait for a good fare.

The offer normally comes in a welcome home letter by mail or email. It normally doesn't come that quickly within five days after your cruise. The letter would instruct you to tell the reservation agent you received the letter. The reservation agents wouldn't have had knowledge of your recent cruise if you didn't mention you just returned and had a discount letter.

They haven't been very consistent with sending the "Welcome Home" offers the last few years. I don't know what criteria they are using to generate the emails and letters.

As Cruise Fanatic noted, they would not have automatically offered it.

As mentioned, they don't seem to be consistent with it. I received a letter via email last year after I went on the Holiday in July.
