Dress code for Celebration

I am a new cruiser and a woman that likes clothes....a little too much....but i am trying to scale down my luggage for the cruise a little...i've seen all the packing lists...but i'm always very nervous about not having the right "type" of attire of each occasion...is there only one dinner night that is formal? how formal? other than that do i just wears shorts and sundresses in the evening?
lots of ?'s i know...but i appreciate your answer!

atleast i didn't ask if i could take alcohol on board, right?

Hi Sunshine and welcome to cruise-chat. The Celebration does 4 and 5 night cruises so you will only have 1 formal night. The other nights nice sun dresses or capris NOT SHORTs are welcome in the dining room. Also nice slacks and tops. Carnival does state that no shorts, jeans or bathing suits in the dining room at night. You will be fine.

I am glad i asked this question. My boyfriend is a jeans kinda guy with a nice button down...so i need to let him know it's slacks for the evening dinners...thanks again...
