Anniversary Dinner

Going on Triumph 08/05. Our anniversary will take place during the trip. can someone tell me if you can arrange a private 2 person dinner table in the triumph dinning room? I know we can have it in out stateroom but would like to get dressed and take her out.

You can request a table for two now for your whole cruise. But at this late date I wouldn't think you would be able to get one. Call the cruise line or your Travel Agent and request it. You won't find out until check-in if you got it. If you didn't, then talk to the Maitre'd on the first day. They will have it listed in the Carnival Capers that anyone wanting to change dining requests to see the Maitre'd at a specific location.

Thanks for the reply. I'm sorry I didn't think of it sooner or when I booked the cruise. Oh well, I'll give it a try and see what happens.

We were able to switch to a 2 person table after boarding on the Miracle. Also, if there is a supper club on board, you can get a table for 2, but there is a price per meal that you eat there.

We sailed on the Triumph and had a table for 2. The first day on board check your seating arrangements. Then look up the Matre'd. Ask for a table for 2. It may help if you grease his palm a little.

Every cruise we were able to obtain a table for 2. It seems as if the dining rooms are adding more tables for 2 and less of the bigger tables. From what I have observed the bigger tables are usually empty or not filled up.

The Legend was our last cruise and the dining room always seemed deserted. I think some passengers feel if they don't use the dining room they can justify having the $3.50 daily waiter TIP eliminated from their folio.

I read in Carnival's agent Capers awhile back that they were going to start charging for those cakes and would need to be pre-ordered. I am not certain if this was implemented or when. I would ask your Travel Agent as would be a nice surprise for the Wife. I will try to check for info. if I find any will post back. But as Cruise Fanatic stated you are getting a little late for special arrangements, but they are usually very accomodating. As 7thSon said, sneak down and see the Maitre'd as soon as possible and I bet He will fix this up for you. Best to you, and congratulations on your Anniversary!

Most times when you book they will ask if any special occasions..get on the ball with your travel agent!

I must make a disclaimer before the following statement that I am in no way soliciting business and is a hypothetic scenario if I was a Cruise agent.

But if I was and you were my client, you would at least get the cake or a bottle of Asti on your special night with my compliments.
