it's question time again.
Carnival Freedom is a new ship. How many electrical outlets will there be in the cabins? sorry should I say State rooms and more importantly to me what configuration will they be? I would guess USA. I presume I will have to get an adapter and say a 3 socket extension.
There are at least two 110 standard US outlets in every cabin I've ever been in. One is in the bathroom and good for small devices like razors. The other near the desk will run everything I've ever plugged in, including a blow dryer. I take along a six outlet power strip, but rarely use more than a plug or two. It keeps my camera batteries charged, and runs my computer if I bring it along.
Have a great cruise.

Since the Freedom is basically another Conquest class ship, I would assume they stuck to the one outlet on the dressing table and one in the bathroom (for shavers only).. If you need more than one plug, bring an extension cord with a multi-outlet end on it or you are going to be playing "swap the outlet" for the entire cruise

I usually bring an electrical powerstrip with me. I like to listen to my cd player, use my hairdryer, and plug in my curling iron at the dresser all at the same time.
It might seem silly to some but the powerstrip is very convenient.

I had this question, too.
So far I'm working on the assumption that the number of outlets will be the same as every other Carnival ship I've been on (one outlet) and that it will be compatible with USA electrical appliances, etc.
I'm not familiar with Australian (you're in Australia, right? *s*) electrical specifications, but I am guessing you're right -- you'll need an adapter and something to provide extra outlets from the one.
