The new Sensation

Has anybody been on the Sensation since its recent visit to dry-dock for the upgrades? I'm especially interested in photos showing the new balconies they have added.

Rich, She is scheduled to complete the Drydock today. I am interested to see the transformation as well.

I just saw Carnival's photos of the balcony additions, they look interesting hanging off the side (and stern) of the ship. Overall a fantastic upgrade to a Fantasy class ship I have sailed on and loved. Looking forward to booking one of those cabins.

I would really like to hear from someone who has been in one.

REJ- Where did you see those pictures? I looked through the CCL website but couldn't find them. I'm curious as to what the ship looks like now.

Thanks Dave! Interesting. I wonder how involved that change is. At least it doesn't look terrible. I pictured much worse in my mind. I wonder how long it takes them to make that modification and why they didn't do it to more cabin? There has to be a structural issue there somewhere.

Jim, I would imagine hanging that much weight off of the sides and that high up would probably tend to make her a little more unstable if they did it to many more cabins. I could also see some stress factors coming into play as well. I guess it would depend on how much the +/- percentange was on original design and how much extra reinforcement had to be done. Plus, I'm sure fuel economy and ship speed would be affected as well.
