I know they didn't seem like bug issues when they happened but for a waiter to treat you like that is NOT how they are trained.
We had bug issues on the Tropicale. A swarm of flies came on board in Cozumel. It was the oddest thing. The Lido deck with flies swarming every where. They must have smelled the cheeseburgers.
Of course I know you didn't mean bugs. Just trying to lighten things up. And on that note, we are all free to disagree and state our opinions. However personal attacks (not you Jim) are not in order here. So let's "knock it off" with that please.
I recommend Carnival to everyone I know. It is the best "Bang for your Buck" cruise line out there in my opinion. Any one on any cruise line can experience an "off" cruise. I know I have as well.
Dwayne.. Carnival is the best bang for the buck! We pretty much all go to the same ports so I rather save the cash and go on carnival.. And we all need to realize also that these waiters and other crew members work 16hrs a day with very little time for thereselves and away from there family for months. So i can understand them for being off a night. But to be rude no way..
Dwayne's post made me wonder if my comment came across as attacking Mary... if it did, I did not intend it to sound that way. I only was trying to point out that when we have a complaint about service, we should not wait until the cruise is over before trying to speak up. This seems to be the way many people handle it and I wanted to change that.
Mary, if I sounded like I was berating you, I did not mean to. I'm sure at the time you didn't think they were major issues and didn't feel like complaining and that is your call...

No offense taken. I know what you were referring to about waiting until the cruise is over before complaining. I didn't complain as each issue arose because it wasn't a big deal in the grand scheme of things. Then another issue the next day, and well still not a big deal, then the third day ... and so it went.
So I decided after adding them all up to mention these issues at Guest Services. And as I said before, there wasn't really anything they could do about it. It was just all of us having a bad day at the same time!
All is forgiven now. I've moved on to planning my next two cruises -- one in December and the Blogger's Cruise in February 2011.

My daughter and her soon to be husband will be signing on to the Fantasy in September. He will have a middle mgt position and she is a dancer with 8 years senority with Carnival. Neither will be able to address this directly but I will surely let them know. There are regular staff meetings where these things are discussed within departments, and stuff does result, but only if someone tells them. People have had their contract terminated early for stuff like this. So to the posed question, absolutly complain, but do it right. And when something is good report that as well.
