Does anyone know if there is a guest exchange shelf or section where you can leave a book and take a book (not part of the books that belong to Carnival)? Thanks.

I don't know of the "honor system" on that one, but you can check a book out at the library and also donate a book.

Thanks, cruisehappy, for the reply, but I was thinking of something different. On Princess they have a special shelf where cruisers leave their OWN books (often best sellers) as they finish them, or at the end of the cruise), and other cruisers can deposit a book of their own, and take one. Is there anything like that on Carnival? Often the books in the library are not best sellers.

That is a good question, Why doesn't everybody put it on their comment cards at the end of the cruise. If enough people mention it than Carnival might just try it out!
