Does Carnival do anything for their past cruisers? We just got back from RC Sov of the Seas and I was impressed at what they did even for a 2nd 3 night cruise 10 years after the last cruise with them. We were on The Glory in March and will be on the Valor this April.

You sail once with Carnival and you get a sign and sail card on that first voyage. On your 2nd through 10th voyage your card is gold? And then on voyage 11 it is platinum? Do I have this correctly?
And we are talking about the plastic card you have on the cruise to use as your boarding pass and your "credit card" on board? If so, do you ever get a loyalty card as you do on other lines?
No Carnival does not give you a past loyalty card, but you are issued a past guest number, it will be on the back of your Carnival Currents which you will begin receiving approximatly 3 months after you have sailed with them. As a past guest, you will receive the different colored sign and sail cards based on how many cruises you have sailed on Carnival. After your 1st cruise you will be invited to a "past passenger" cocktail party with the Captian with drinks and snacks while on your next cruises.
At times Carnival will run a past guest promotion, where you will be able to get a discount on your next booking. Also, as a past guest of Carnival, you will be able to get the past guest rate(when available) from Costa, Hal, and other lines owned by Carnival.
Thats about it. If anyone can think of anything else they do, please correct me, but thats all I know for a fact that you get.
We like cruising Carnival but it seems RC offers more for past guests. On our second this past week with RC we recieved coupon books, the second night we got tote bags and our cards were different. It was only a three night cruise or there would have been a party too.
We'll see in April how Carnival does for #2.

Once you reach "Diamond" status with Royal Caribbean, you won't believe the benefits. On Voyager and Radiance class ships, you gain entrance to the concierge's Lounge with unlimited appetizers and cocktails. It is so worth it.
Diamond status on RCI does the job it is intended to do: It makes it very very difficult to interest my other half to cruise on any other cruise line.
And from what I see being offered in the brochures of other lines, including Celebrity, RCI's sister company, nothing quite compares to what another trip on a Radiance or Voyager class ship (or Enchantment) can do.....
It is as long as Carnival has your past guest number. When you book your cruise make sure your travel agent knows you are a past guest, or if you book directly with Carnival let them know you are a past guest. If you do not have your past guest number they will look it up for you and apply it to your reservation. When you go through the embarkation process you will receive the color card depending on how many cruises you have sailed.
