My husband and I are scheduled to leave on the Conquest Dec 18. When originally bought a guaranteed balcony room. When we received our tickets they show what room we are in. Does this mean we won't be getting a possible upgrade. Or if there is an upgrade they'll just change our rooms.

The room shown on your cruise documents is the room to which you have been assigned. There are usually no changes from what is on your tickets.

Is your room the same category for which you paid? Or is it a balcony room in a higher category? A guarantee means that you'll get the category for which you paid or a higher category. It all depends on whether other people on your sailing have actually paid for higher categories, how many empty cabins there are (holiday sailings are usually pretty full), etc.

That being said, a balcony cabin in any category is going to be terrific!

when your Documents come in that has your cabin # on them that is your cabin # unless you call and upgrade yourself for additional fare if anything is open I call my agent every week after docs. recieve to see if any discounts on suites cat 11 or 12 sometimes you can get a great deal for only 100 or 150 more per person,just depends, right now a suite for us to upgrade was 350.00 p/p so I told her to check every week till the cruise date to see if we could get something at 150.00 p/p if we can ok if not ok to we went from 8-a to a 8-I on guarantee so we have no complaints but it would be nice to have a nice large suite, we did that a couple of cruises ago we had a 8 cat and last minute paid 175.00 each and got a cat 12 so just have you agent check for you.
