Just a quick Thanks to all of you who passed along such great info (especially Andrealovescruising) and helped me decide on a Carnival cruise. I booked the cruise and I can't wait and I think it will be great for both the 13 & 3 year old. I got an extended balcony and it's right down the hall from the children's center. Now I won't have far to go with the 3 year old!

Now we all have to agree on what shore excursions to do - that will take forever!

Yeah...now I get to get one of those cool ticker thingys!!! I know...such a technical vocabulary I have!

Thanks again!
Michele

Michele, I'm so jealous. Wish we were coming with you. I think we'd have a fun time together. You are going to have such an outstanding time on Pride. It's my favorite ship, to date. Make sure you carry along a bungee to help keep your balcony door open at night time. It lulls you to sleep hearing the ocean. Please let me know what excursions you're thinking of doing. The Baja coastline is just breathtaking ! Congratulations on booking your cruise. We'll talk soon.

You guys are great here. I think I have bored everyone to pieces with my excitement! Between my DH and sons, and then of course my co-workers...there will be no one left for me to talk to!!! So I will have to do my rambling here!

Andrea...thank you so much for all of your awesome reviews and comments. You TRULY talked me in to the balcony...and my TA allowed me to book the room that had the extended at no charge. Carnival had actually given me the offer first and the TA matched it with them.

We are on the Upper Deck-Rm 5130. My youngest (3) will have the playroom down the hall and Kyle (13) will only be one flight of stairs from the video arcade. And don't let me forget dh...only a elevator trip to the casino. You'll find me Mudslide in hand and enjoying the view from my balcony!!!!

Have I mentioned how excited I am! OH MY GAWD!!!! I am going on a cruise...come one someone come with us!!!!!

Is it too soon to book another for next year???

Michele, you won't regret booking a balcony. As a matter of fact, you'll never want anything else. We were on the fifth floor as well. The laundry room is also on that floor, and with 2 girls, it was well-utilized. Have a mudslide, or 2 or 3 or 4 for me !!!! And, if you think you're excited now... just wait until your foot walks over the threshold of that ship. Your heart will come out of your chest. (In a good way) !

I'm so excited about our cruise scheduled for next April on the Miracle. I tried to set up the ticker but don't know if I did it right. I'm not very "techy".

Ok - I do have a "real" question now....do you need your actual social security card when applying for a passport, or can you just know your number.

I had my SS card and both of the boy's SS card in my purse last year when it was stolen. I haven't got new ones yet...so I am hoping I can just fill out the applications just knowing the numbers. If not, time might become a BIG issue with getting everything done in time.

Did I mention I only have 191 days...geez that just doesn't sound like enough time to get everything done....LOL :-)

Michelle T

Congrates on the booking. I was on that exact trip last two years ago. the pride is such a great ship. I have done the inside room, outside room, and the balcony. Now that I have done the balcony I will never do anything else except a balcony. Cabo san lucas is such a great port. The rock formations are so cool. Have a great time I know you will.
