Hi ya'll...
I have cruised 3 times previous without even considering travel insurance. However, I am taking my mother who is 56 and does tend to get sick more these day...
So my question is if there is any advice on travel insurance... I understand there are a lot of companies whose insurance is pretty much useless. Any advice would be much appreciated...
Thnks

Yes, I would recommend the travel insurance. We are using the company Travelex. Just a short story...my friend went on a cruise and there was a death in the family and she had to leave from one of the islands...it was very expensive for her. Think about this, you are dishing out some money for a cruise its just a minimal charge for insurance..peace of mind.

Your friend that had to leave from one of the islands, did they use Travelex? and what exactly did that cover (just the cost of the cruise?)
And do you know How they covered that?
Thanks so much for your help!!!

It's just that I am 55 and you made it sound like your mother is OLD and therefore sickly.

Travel insurance is a good idea. I am cruising in Feb and plan on getting it.

Our plans are being made by one member of our group. We have not discussed how we will pay for insurance.

Being Feb. I am concerned about weather, though we are planning on arriving a day early to avoid this type of thing.
