My husband and I are sailing on the Infinity to Alaska (round trip from SF) in late May (May 20 - June 1), and have reserved a Sky Suite (after considering a CC cabin), for the extra space and being able to get full room service. I am wondering about the extras that are advertised for the CC cabins. Are they all included with the Sky Suites (pillow choices, fresh flowers, etc.)? Some of them are listed for the suites also, but not all. I would think so, yet I remember seeing something in a forum last year that said not (at least at that time). Also, will it really be too cold to use the balcony in late May, as some posters have suggested in forums? I see elsewhere that some say May is the best month to visit. Why? And is Michael's Club still a cigar club? My husband likes to smoke cigars on vacation and plans to smoke on the balcony but it would be nice to have someplace indoors to smoke also if the weather is bad. This will be our first cruise and if my husband doesn't have a good time it will be our last! Thank you!
You'll definitely use your balcony. When you see the glaciers, it's usually early in the morning. Hanging over your balcony railing in you fuzzy slippers and ship-provided bathrobe drinking room service coffee sure beats having to get dressed and head for a railing! Our experience last year in May was one of perfect electric-blue skies and comfortable temperatures. You'll also love a balcony on the inside passage portion of your cruise. Have a great time.
