I heard on the news this morning a capitan from one of the Celebrity Ships was fired because of drinking - Does anyone know which ship?

It was on the Mercury that does an Alaska run. He was relieved of his duties in Seattle.

Apparently the Coast Guard was checking the ship and they noticed the Captain was tipsy. Bear in mind that the rules are more restrictive for ships officers. 0.04 is their legal limit, as opposed to 0.08 for most U.S. drivers. Officers are also not supposed to drink within 8 hours of going on watch.

Thanks for the info. I was on the Zenith in April - It seem to me the Capitain was spending alot of time at the bar.
