Sounds like you had a great time. My daughter's all-time favorite way to spend my money is on cruises. You should write a review of your trip for cruisereviews.com. We could really use the teen perspective. Let's hope this is the beginnign of a lifetime of cruising fun!

Thanks. I have an almost 12 daughter and almost 14 son. We leave on the Mercury for Alaska on August 12th. I just went out today and bought everybody their own set of binoculars. This is only our second cruise. The first was on Carnival (totally for the kids). The cruise to Alaska is more for my husband and myself, but I am sure the kids will appreciate it.

The Mercury is a great ship for Alaska as she has lots of open deck space for viewing. Here is a hint for Hubbard Glacier. Everyone clibs to the top of the ship for viewing. Go to the Promenade deck and it is vacant with better views.

Enjoy.
