Summit transatlantic Dec. 2008
We sailed the transatlantic many times. We booked this cruise onboard Navigator of the Seas April 2008.
We wanted a CC stateroom. Not at the Sky deck, because the Resort deck has a very large overhang, that shades the sun on the veranda. Starboard side because the sun, no conneted door, no obstructed view. The loyalty ambassador suggested 8063. According the 2008 brochure Celebrity's Europe, there are obstructed view at 8067+8069. We accepted.
When we arrivd, a huge window washing mashine outside our veranda. Really obstructed view.
Guest relation offered us a stateroom at port side. Absolute no sun. So no thanks.
When we came home we sent a letter where we complin the view. We expected a kind of discount. The answer from Oslo. You are from Denmark. You looked in the wrong brochure. Review feed misprint ad charges. The CC homepage don't mention the obstructed view for 8 CC stateroom. So absolute no compensation or discount from us. It's evident that the brochure is mistaken.
Since 2006 we have sailed 10 cruises with RCCL - CC. and we have 3 bookings for 2009.
That's the way to treat our loyalty.

Mike Welcome to Cruise Chat.

I'm a little confused why your mentioning the Navigator of the Seas a Royal Caribbean ship. It appears you were on Celebrity's Summit.

Just what kind of compensation did you feel you were warranted? They offered you an unobstructed view which your declined.

Sorry. Onboard Navigator we booked the cruise with Summit. We wanted the onboard credit.
The offered stateroom was at port side.
At port side no sun on the veranda at a Eastbound Transatlantic Cruises. That's the reason why we booked the starboard side.
$100 a person.

Hi Mikedk, sorry to hear the brochure was incorrect. I hope they will update their website. Hope your next cruise will be better.
