room next to medical center

Hi all, we're cruising Mexican Riv on Celebrity Mercury sailing Jan 2 2006 with outside gty, just found room assignment while doing on-line check-in, and it is right next to the Medical Center.

Two questions:
1. How bad is it to be so close to the medical facility? Sick people going by your door all the time?

2. Is there still a chance we will be upgraded even though we have an actual room assignment? Do they ever do upgrades at the last minute with outside gty's?

I really dont think that there will be THAT many people that you would even notice..... and as far as being upgraded again.. I dont know for sure .. its all up to the Upgrade Gods!

If I recall properly, the entrance to the medical center is separate from any of the cabins and is not on the passenger cabin hallway itself. So it shouldn't be a problem at all.

Oops, sorry about that first one...

I agree with Tom. I think this is a great place to have a cabin. Medical hours are limited and I've never seen people lined up there to get in!!
