Read the small print about alcahol, you can be put off the ship.
I love Aruba, if you like the beach get a taxi to take you to Moomba Beach, it not to far but go in the morning ( as it has rained on us for 4 trips) the get the taxit to pick you up and give you a ride around the island over to the bridge and the big rocks. In Acapulco we got a taxi and had a good trip arount to see the sites and stoped at a hotel for drinks that John Wayne and others owned.
In Coasta Rica the tram ride is great.
Cabo San Lucas all along the Sea of Cortez and the Pacific Ocean side of the peninsula, you will discover miles of pristine beaches and sparkling blue water. You’ll find hidden coves, unusual rock formations, bird sanctuaries, desert wilderness, as well as some of the most elegant resorts and finest restaurants. This entire area is considered a precious jewel of Mexico, look out for the gray whales.Cabo Dolphins offers people of all ages the rare opportunity to swim and play with beautiful Pacific Bottlenose dolphins while visiting Cabo San Lucas, Mexico. Huatulo has a nice Park and nice beaches not much else.

Interested in your comments on Aruba and Cabo san Lucas - did you find taxis (language?) better than the excursions offered by the cruise line? Cheaper, safe?
What comments did other passengers make in relation to the tours offered by the ship vs self exploration by say taxi?
The dolphins sound delightful but expensive - the ones in Australia aren't quite so friendly!!
