It's a shame that Celebrity is not more responsive to your problem. I am constantly amazed at company's that don't have responsive customer service departments, in all industries, not just cruising. Regardless of what the outcome, we deserve better communication, even if the answer is NO.
I do fault the reasoning, however, that eliminates your choice of Celebrity because of one incident. It's like the airline customer who says that they will never fly that airline again because they lost their luggage. Celebrity misrepresented two of their shore excursions on our last cruise, refunding our money for one but not the other. Lesson learned; on next weeks cruise we have negotiated our two shore excursions from responsible internet connections. In the real world, they all do. Good luck, you learned a valuable lesson; don't buy expensive stuff unless you can ship is insured and don't let expensive stuff out of your sight if you are traveling with it. That's the cruel facts in today's jungle.
