upgrading stateroom

Hi Iam new at cruising with Celebrity. Been on a couple of other cruise line,anyway, We are going to Hawaii, on Celebrity we leave Sunday, we have a outside stateroom with no balcony, we would love to have a stateroom with a balcony. We are also with a group,our head person told us that we would loose our deposit ($900.00)and that he could not help us change. We would have to rebook at a higher rate. I have been watching the web site and Celerity has room with balconys, now when I get on the ship where do I go to change room and do they give a discount on the upgrade. or do you pay full price? can anyone help me. You stated your group leader said you would loose your 900.00 deposit...is he working with an agent or directly with Celebrity. It would only take a matter of a call to Celebrity to see about getting an upgrade. If he is working with an agent he can call the agent to see if you can upgrade. He might have a certain number of cabins in his group, and he is afraid of loosing his Tour Conductor credit (one free bed for every 8 cabins sold). If all else fails, go directly to the Pursers desk (or information desk) when you arrive on the ship and request an upgrade, but do be prepared to pay the difference if one is available.

I will go to the information desk when I get on board. I did call Celebrity and they told at group sells that I need to talk to my lead person. I felt I was going in circles.
Thanks for answering my letter, and I know nothing is for free(I wished)but will pay the extra.
