Cosumel - beach area with activities for teenagers

We land at Cozumel for one day. Need ideas for which beach to hit (activities for two teenagers) Do we take the scheduled prepaid outings or gab a taxi to a certain beach and pay-as-u-go at the activities.
What beach??
How much for 4 in a taxi??

Definitely check out Paradise Beach...just grab a cab there....can't remember the price for the 5 of us for the cab but it wasn't alot! They have snorkling, kayaking, water trampoline, and climbing wall in the water....you buy a bracelet that allows you to do it all for $7! They have chairs and umbrellas that are free to sit on, the food there is really good, and the bar Carlos and Charlies is right next door...We all had a great time there last year and are going back this year on our spring break cruise!

If you take the FURY CATAMARAN excursion from the cruiseline, you get snorkeling, an hour or so on a private beach, free margaritas/beer/soft drinks, and a GREAT time! But in all honesty, your kids can see a beach anywhere! Bet they'd have a BLAST if you took em to CARLOS AND CHARLIES!! You don't have to drink alcohol there...just watching the crowd is half the fun!!
