Engine noise and vibration on Century?

My husband and I are considering the Century's Sep 3 sailing because it is exactly the itinerary we want. I'm concerned about some of the things I've read, particularly the noise and vibration in the main dining room. One person wrote that it was hard to even have a conversation over the noise of the engine. Does anyone know anything about this? Thanks.

I was on the Century Aug 2 on the 12nt Baltic cruise. It is a wonderful ship and I never noticed any vibration or noise as you describe.

I have to agree with Cruise Fanatic. I sailed on the Century this summer (post-refurbishment) and did not find noise and vibration from the engine distracting. We did feel an occassional shudder and some accompanying noise during dinner, but only twice during the whole trip).

And that will happen on any ship that has the dining room aft.
