Did anyone see her this morning on the news? They had a picture of her setting sail to get the finishing touches done. She's huge! Only 14 more months until I get to step on board-yipee!

Penny3333, We may share the same bday..dec 13. We are currently trying to decide which cruise to take. Either the Solstice or Equinox is what we are hoping for. May I ask if you found a great rate for the dec. 13 cruise, and if I find a less expensive price for the same cruise, since it is so far off, how do I handle it. I need a handicapped room, so it is best I book as early as possible.
We sailed with Celebrity twice before, on the Millennium and loved every moment of it.

Hi BobSabresFan, I did get what I thought was a good price for a balcony, $999/pp. My birthday is the 16th, but it'll be while we're on that cruise. I don't even remember where we're going and it doesn't much matter. The ship will be my destination on this one. I've heard such great things about Celebrity, but could not reconcile the price difference. This price is close enough to Princess, that I couldn't pass it up. I'm so jealous that Sandy and Jan will be on her so soon, but they can come back and tell us all about her. We can start drooling them

Funny thing, it seems you hear so much excitement about the Solstice and not much about the Equinox, I know they may be twins but still...it is all about the Solstice which is our next trip in Feb 8, 2009. I am excited for you, I still want to cruise on the Equinox too !

It makes sense your not hearing about the Equinox. The Solstice being the first of the new class and soon to debut, will have all the marketing hype focused on her.
