Can we use English AC 240 volt electric appliances?

Hi, just packing my video camera which made me remember I will need to charge it up from time to time. Will I need a travel adapter for using the electricity? I seem to remember reading somewhere that there is duel voltage on the ship, is that right? Thanks.
