I see in the news that the Mercury had another outbreak. 350 passengers sick. Apparently they are skipping a port and returning a day early. The next cruise is being delayed by two days.

Need some cruise help?

Boy, I hated to read this. I read a comment from a passenger from the same cruise as ours, it ticks me off, people had choices and did not have to go and still get 15% off a furture cruise. They chose to go and now expect a free cruise around the world. They said the crew was speading it and was clueless..what a crock. There has been an outbreak in the schools, hospital etc. People like that need to stay home, we had a few who wanted to complain and when they know you won't agree and join in with them move on to another ear who will join in.
We both got th virus but for all we know it came from the Hotel before boarding or the restaurant the night before..it doesn't take much to touch something that someone else has.

I believe the CDC recommended four full days of cleaning for the Mercury. It's set to cruise again on March 21.

I have a cousin who lives in Charleston S.C. and he says the virus is running wild in his area so it is not just on the ship.

Yes, I reported about the virus spreading through SC in another thread. Unfortunately no matter how much cleaning they do, it's not going to stop guests from bringing it back on. I'll be glad when it fizzles out here.

I have to wonder if they have cleaned the terminal building really well? Maybe the passenger are carrying it on board from there.

I've also heard it's pretty rampant in the area. Glad my cruise isn't until September. Good luck to everyone.
