Do the cruiselines or the hotels offer shuttles from the airport to the hotel, and then to the cruise ship. I am trying to avoid the taxi routine but am aware of the difficulty of dragging luggage around.
If you booked your air thru Celebrity they will bring you to the ship free if not they will pick you up at a fee. Same with Hotel if its a Cruise and Stay package it is included otherwise there is a charge.
I don't believe cruise lines offer shuttles to hotels. However, if you stay near the airport, then you may want to consider a hotel that has a courtesy shuttle to and from the airport. I don't know about cruise transportation from a hotel to the ship.
If you find a hotel that has an airport courtesy shuttle, then you could take that to the hotel, then back to the airport the next morning, where you can arrange for the cruise line transportation to the ship.

If you book a Pre-Cruise hotel package through the cruise line they do provide all the transfers Airport to hotel/hotel to pier/pier back to airport. Generally, their hotel packages are on a per person basis and are usually higher than what you can do on your own. You would need to look at it both ways and compare their package to booking a hotel separate and what transfers may be included by shuttle or if you would need to pay for a taxi. Depending which port you're looking at there may be hotels that offer all the transfers in a cruise package. I would also consider the location of where the hotels are. If they are out by the airport they most likely won't have a lot of things close by for you to walk to. Then you would have to consider taxi cost to go out to eat, etc.
