Question Captains Club
Has anyone heard that Celebrity is going to change their Captains Club and levels to be more in line with RCCL? When I was on Celebrity in June some passengers were talking about it, but I can't find anything about it.

I haven't heard anything about adding levels for the Captain's Club. However I would not be surprised if they did and that it happened in concert with changes to the RCI Crown & Anchor program, which are being hinted at.

Default Captain's Club
A CC rep. told me a year ago that they were actively trying to figure out how to make changes without any "take aways" from current members. Management had been asking the rep's for suggestions and apparently holding meetings. The rep. told me then that they would almost surely do something by year end 2012. Obviously, they haven't come up with a plan yet, but they need to.

If you've been to one of the Elite member functions lately, it appears that half the ship is there. It wasn't that long ago that the evening cocktail hour was held in Michael's Club, but now even the big topside night club is crowded.

Stay tuned,
Skipjack

I always felt it was so easy and fast to make Elite with only 10 points. You could make 3 on one cruise if you booked a 12 day, Aqua Class for example you got 3 points. I guess it depends too on this last trip there were not many in the Elite Event at all every night but other times your right so many were there.

What do you get for being at the top level in the Captain's Club?

You sure get a lot for only 10 cruises. I'll be Pinnacle in Sept. and still won't get any free dry cleaning. I doubt if I'll even ever get an upgrade. Oh well, what can I expect for a mere 100 cruises.
