Mercury May Be Leaving Celebrity

It has been noted that the Celebrity Mercury schedule stops after April 2011, unlike the other ships in the Celebrity fleet. Word on the street is the Mercury will be leaving Celebrity and joining sister ship Galaxy in Germany with TUI Cruises, which is a venture Royal Caribbean has a stake in.

I talked to the Captain on the Century several times on our last cruise and he did confirm that the Mercury would be leaving. He did not however have any word on the Century's future.

Just back from Millenium cruise. It was announced that the Century will be doing Hawaii cruises.

It is now official - the Mercury will end it's service as a Celebrity ship on February 11, 2011.

The Century won't be permanently doing Hawaii. For her 2011/2012 schedule she will first do the Alaska cruises from Vancouver. After the Alaska season she will then do a series of Hawaii. She will then go through the Canal and end in Baltimore doing 12nt cruises to the Caribbean.

Also exciting is the Millennium will take over the Century's 5/5/4 Caribbean schedule out of Florida.
