Did you have any problem hanging all the clothing you wanted to hang in the closet? Had I been on Solstice any longer than I was, I would have had to hang clothes in the shower, I think.

Hi Sandy,

The closets were an issue. I didn't have so much trouble with space as with accessibility. It was definitely cramped. AND, Don and I both pinched our fingers several times when sliding the doors. There is a design flaw there and it hurt!

The bathroom was the largest we have ever had on a cruise with plenty of storage space. That was a positive.

I also like the storage above the beds. It came in handy.

We have only been on one Princess cruise, so I don't know if all of their closets are alike. However, other cruise lines could learn from the Coral Princess closets. They were big, easily accessible, and didn't have doors, which we thought was great. We were even able to store our luggage in them. In addition, they had a chest of drawers type thing which held a bunch of clothes. But, the bathroom was small. Maybe it's and either/or situation--larger bathroom or more closet space!

It looks like many of us are complaining about the closets on the Solstice class ships. I had problems with the Equinox closet too, and it was primarily with it's access. It had enough space IF you could get to it without being a contortionist. Sadly they have the same closets on the Oasis Of The Seas. Hard to access and only one side can be open at a time.

Hi Nadine, welcome back I'm so very glad to hear you had a great cruise. I was not as impressed with the Solstice, I wrote a short review. The closet was a good size, but you're right only one side at a time. Also, there was a lot of the area taken up by the safe/shelves. However, there were little nooks and crannies for stashing small items.

I'm glad that Princess is still my favorite We'll be back on them in 2011 for a Panama Canal cruise if all goes well.
