Hello everyone.... Just wondering if anyone has a suggestion regarding where to take a 12 to 14 night cruise in February. We're looking to go someplace warm for my daughters 50th Birthday.
I would appreciate any suggestions. http://cruise-chat.com/groupee_commo...icon_smile.gif

Wow, what a fantastic Birthday gift. It is summer in South America or how about a 14 Night Exotic Southern Caribbean on board Celebrity Constellation in Feb for starters. Do you want to be somewhere on the exact date? What is it? Are you thinking only of the Caribbean? http://cruise-chat.com/groupee_commo...icon_smile.gif
Since you posted in Celebrity Cruises are you wanting only Celebrity? They do have the new Solstice class of ships now and they are beautiful.

Thank you janfred....we basically want the month of February, no specific day, South America was our first thought, but the airplane ride is tooooo longgggg.
We were opened for any suggestions. I guess the Caribbean is about the only place to go for the warm weather.
Thanks for the help.

Sandy
Just be sure to shop carefully in February. That's school vacation month. The ships are packed with kids..which you may not mind, but the prices are usually higher during vacation weeks.
Have you thought about embarking in San Juan? Not a bad flight and far enough south to let you go deep into the Caribbean in 14 days.

Poormom,
I am not so sure it would be pack with kids if it's a 14 day cruise. I've not encountered lots of kids on Celebrity anytime of year to tell you the truth, thats part of the attraction
of Celebrity for us anyway.

Thanks to Poormom and Janfred for responding. I never thought about the kid's being out of school in February.
I sure hope your right Janfred regarding no kids on a 14 night cruise.
Being that we are seniors we like it peaceful and quiet when we go away on vacation.
I guess we would have to stay away from Carnival at that time of the year. http://cruise-chat.com/groupee_commo...icon_smile.gif
Thanks again to both of you for taking the time to respond.

Don't forget about Mexico. We're doing a 10 day Sea of Cortez / Mexican Riviera on HAL leaving Feb 6. They also have an 11 day later in the month. There is also the Hawaii cruises leaving from the west coast.

Thank you Susan, but I have no desire to go to Mexico at the present time. Hawaii sounds interesting. Is it possible to get a little more information about Hawaii?
Thanks,
Sandy

A quick check on Travelocity shows HAL and Princess doing the Hawaii cruises in February of next year. Leaving from either LA or San Diego - doing the Jones Act foreign port at Ensenada; 4 days at sea to get there, 4 days at sea to get back; stops at the Big Island of Hawaii, Maui, Oahu and Kauai. It's a nice way to see the islands if you've not been there before.
