Has anyone been on a cruise on St Patrick's Day.

Was just wondering what may be expected or planned on 3-17 this year. We will be on our way to Hawaii, and wouldn't want to experience a detour to Ireland. But, maybe so.

Any comments??? Glen

They may do something for it (Maybe green drinks?) I wouldn't expect a huge deal but you never know. Bring something green to wear and you'll be covered it they do have a celebration...

I have. Not on Celebrity though. It was on the Carnival Pride in 02. It was lots of spring breakers, and we had an early port call on Key West. Which was followed by a Lido deck party. They had green beer, and drink specials with clover leaf toothpicks...if I recall. Again, not Celebrity.

And if you bring green, you won't get pinched http://cruise-chat.com/groupee_commo.../icon_wink.gif

I have been to Ireland four times and can assure you it would be a pleasant detour.
