poormom,
Go.. it is a beautiful ship. You can go to Celebrity's Website and take a virtual tour.

Poormom, go, go, go! The ship was absolutely beautiful! We've just been slammed at work, way too many things going on. I work at the university where the murders occured and we're still reeling from it.

Celebrity has a great reputation, they're just not for me. But free air fare, go-go-go-go!!!!

I am thinking of taking my wife on this same cruise and wanted some info. Is the food that bad? We have been on two Carnival Cruises and found the food just IHOP worthy. Please help with ideas

Welcome to Cruise Chat. I have been on Celebrity many times and have always found the food to be top notch. Food is very subjective. For every bad review you will find just as many good reviews. Perhaps it might benefit you to talk to a Travel Agent that specializes in cruises. They can ask you questions and qualify you if Celebrity is the right fit for you.

Hi tblood, welcome to Cruise-Chat! Just because I didn't like the food, doesn't mean you would not like it. The presentation was first class. The ship was beautiful. And if you're not a smoker, there are very few smoking areas, so you're not bothered by that.

As Cruise Fanatic states, a travel agent can be a very beneficial asset. There have been many satisfied Celebrity customers. Some will not cruise any other line. I do not wish to deter anyone from trying the Solstice or any Celebrity ship. They're just not a good fit for me. It definitely was not a bad cruise, we had a great time. The food was not bad. Bad to me means rancid, raw when it shouldn't be, stale, spoiled, etc. The food was definitely not that. It just was not seasoned to our personal tastes.

Best wishes!
