Trying to decide between the Century Jan 27 or Carnival Sensation. Bringing my Mom for her 1st cruise and her 80th birthday...neve done a Celebrity and am thinking of this particular one as it has the soap stars http://cruise-chat.com/groupee_commo...n_rolleyes.gif ok so I like the soaps....any advice?

The Celebrity Century is a beautiful ship, and for a mom on her first cruise (and being 80) I think Celebrity is a better choice of cruise line. Plus with the soap opera people aboard it will give you something extra to enjoy. I really like the Celebrity cruise experience. I think you and your mother will too.

And what a nice way to celebrate her birthday! You are a good daughter.

My mother really enjoyed the Celebrity cruiseline.It was more at her pace if you know what I mean.. She would feel more comfortable on there too..

Thanks for your advice....I am definately leaning toward the Celebrity. Dave you are right too about the Celebrity....who doesn't like to see a star now & then.....

Wait till you see the Century! I have been on several of Celebrity's ships and this one remains my favorite. It is beautiful, not too large. The cabins are awesome with large flat screen TV's on the wall, beautiful bedding. I like the beds with the rounded cornors, it does give you a little more room.
