Mecury Alaska 9/1/2006 - CC / Tux / Weather

We're going - we signed up for CC class - wonder if it's worth the extra $$ ? It's our anniversary - I'd like my husband to wear a tux. Do men wear them or should he just bring a suit? Anyone familiar with early Sept weather? Layers I guess?

I took mine (tux) when we went and the weather was great, last cruise was on the Summitt and we went CC and the wife loved it, but for Alaska we went with Princess and had a week land tour before the cruise in Alaska
