Has anyone been on the Galaxy cruise ship from Celebrity?

Yes. It's an old ship showing it's age. Celebrity is squeezing every last dollar out of her. Avoid it.

Galaxy was built in 1996 - 10 years is not old for a ship. It's in good technical condition, offering great food and good services.

I've been on Galaxy last year and I think you get really good value for your money.

I was on Galaxy Set 25th - Rome and Greek Islands Cruise. Before I left I also read poor reviews on this ship. All I can say is that those who wrote those reviews were on a different Galaxy than me (in more ways than one). The ship is older and there may be a few worn chairs and perhaps the odd spill on a carpet but its a beautiful ship. Its clean, the service is excellent and the food was great both in the main dining room and the buffet. I honestly believe that you can never please some people - they pay $2,000 but are looking for $10,000 of value. On the Galaxy you get excellent value for the money you spend and have agreat vacation as well. Ignore these people they know not what they say.
