Ismay's name seems to come up quite often in all recollections of the Titanic's problems. I'm sure it was a comedy of errors that did bring her down. The fact that management wanted her to continue sailing does not surprise me in the least. After all, they believed she was unsinkable.

A Titanic artifacts tour is coming to town. The tickets are $36 apiece. Yowza ~ as fun as it would be to see it - a little too rich for my pocketbook . .

I guess they sell tickets at that price, but I am with you, it is too high.

Wow... that is high. Especially considering that for less than $10, you can buy the paperback of Walter Lord's A Night to Remember, the best account out there.

And if you do not want to read, The History Channel has a DVD or around $24.00. You can probably rent one for a lot less.
