And there I was, in Norfolk in 1984, just a few miles from that ship when they had the auction of all the fittings and so forth. Being in the Navy at the time and more than ready to get out, I was not at all a ship fan. Of course I'm still retroactively kicking myself these days. I could have probably got at least some silverware, plates, or something. And then there is the fact I could have also walked around the ship.

I do own a life jacket, some paper bar napkins, and some radio-telegraph carbon copies, but I bought those on eBay a few years ago. Not much you can do with that stuff as far as a house decoration.

Agreed. I have two wood panels from a stairtower on Regal Empress and I still haven't decided what to do with them.

I suppose you can put the napkins and telegraphs in a frame or shadow box and hang the life jacket in a shadow box below it.

I have a couple of nice wooden clothes hangers embossed with the name M/S Island Venture. They work great for hanging clothes.
