For all the Titanic lovers there will be a new Titanic museum opening in 2010 in Pigeon Forge, TN. It looks it will have some very cool displays. See
here

I'd like to know why though, they only have two funnels on it!

The last survivor passes away.

Millvina Dean, the last survivor of the sinking of the Titanic, died in southern England Sunday at the age of 97. Traveling with her family, she was just 2 months old when the ship hit an iceberg on the night of April 14, 1912, sinking within three hours.

There is more about Ms. Dean's passing in this thread. Thank you for the additional information, Bentnail.

I have mixed feelings about this new museum. I'm all for education about Titanic (and other ships), yet I cringe when it becomes a form of entertainment or is commercialized. The two-rather-than-four funnels does get to me. It may sound trivial, but it casts some doubt as to whether the information presented in the exhibits will be historically accurate.

Thanks for the link, CruiseFanatic. I've got to check them out some more.

Has anyone here been to the museum in Branson?

This is because it is going to be just the forward half of the ship and 4 funnels on it would be totally out of what she really looked like and proportion

Oh no... only the forward half of the ship?! Whatever will the visitors do, not being able to see where Rose and Jack met??? http://cruise-chat.com/groupee_commo...n_rolleyes.gif

(That was a good one, Edward!)

What is that supposed to mean.

I was explaining why they can only put two funnels on.

Why the sarcasm

I wonder about your sarcasm and the validity of your post as to being informative.

You questioned the accurancy of two funnels I answered why and I get a sacastic remark.

Which I guess you think was funny..I do not.

I have enjoyed coming to these posts but after your less than informative comment I have decided to leave as will a few of my friends.

I thought this site was about ships not attacking other people for contributions.

Edward, that was a compliment! I thought that, as a fellow liner lover, you were expressing your distaste in the commercialization of Titanic, just as I was.

Let's get back to the topic please...

Again, has anyone been to the Titanic museum in Branson?
