Hello,

Does anyone have comments, positive or negative, about the Courtyard by Marriott at Cypress Creek...this is the Courtyard close to the Fort Lauderdale Executive Airport.

Thanks,

Fred

It's a good way away from the port. We stayed there once pre-cruise with Princess. It was a clean hotel, but not near much of anything. We had a rental car, so it wasn't much of a problem for us to get around. Check into the Renaissance, Hyatt Pier66, Sheraton Yankee Clipper or Embassy Suite on 17th Street Causeway. We've stayed at the Renaissance and Pier66, both were wonderful. The water taxi has stops at both places. It's $10/pp per day to use as much as you'd like. The Embassy Suites is a little further down 17th Street Causeway, but you could walk to the water taxi stop underneath the intracoastal waterway bridge. I've stayed at the Yankee Clipper years ago before Sheraton bought it, it was wonderful then, don't know about now. Part of it is on the beach, part of it is across A1A from the beach. Port Everglades is right across US1 from the airport and right off of 17th Street Causeway. You could conceivably walk from Pier66 (although you'd have to cross the bridge), Renaissance or Embassy Suites to the port. I'd take a cab though, the tip would be more than the fare. Best wishes and have a wonderful time.
