Has anyone flown to Orlando, stayed at a RCCL hotel, & then taken their shuttle to Port Canaveral? Which hotels?

I'll respond to you. I was hoping someone had done the RCCL Hotel and Cruise and could answer your question. But it does not seem like anyone will. First off, let me welcome you to cruise chat! Normally we are pretty prompt in giving out advice and answering questions but in your case I guess we dropped the ball.

The reality is that not many people elect to book the pre-cruise hotel stay with the cruise lines (no just RCCL) as it tends to be more cost effective to do this yourself. Especially in Orlando since many people combine a trip to Disney either before or after the cruise.
There are several nice hotels near Port Canaveral that you could choose from. Several of them offer shuttle service to the port.

So you could elect to stay in Orlando or proceed to the Cocoa Beach area and hotel near the port. If you are set on taking the cruise line shuttle, pick a hotel near the airport and then just go back to the airport to grab the cruise shuttle to the port. Your other options are to hire a limo type service to take you to Port Canaveral or a hotel near their, or do a one way car rental. The major car rental companies will allow you to rent a car at the airport, drop it off at their office near the port and then they off shuttle bus service (free) to the port from the car rental office. Then do the opposite for the return. It is actually cost effective, especially if you plan on staying before or after your cruise and need a car. The one way rentals allow you not to have to pay for the car for a week along with parking fees...etc.

You can get good hotel recommendations just by using the "Find" feature at the top of the topic list. Enter Port Canaveral and hotel and see what it pulls up. Same thing for transportation choices.

Have a good cruise! And don't be afraid to come back and ask more questions if you need to.

Our last cruise was out of Port Canaveral and we used a private car service. It was nice because the driver offered to stop wherever we needed and he was only there for us- no waiting for the shuttle to fill up. He drives anywhere in the Orlando area and I found him by searching on the Orlando airport website. His name was Ron Zimmerman, but there are a few others in the same group to choose from. He has a black suburban, so there was plenty of room.

Try the Radisson Hotel at Port Canaveral. Its a very nice hotel, with free shuttle rides too.
