Miami PreCruise Hotel?

I Good evening everyone.
I was hoping someone might know of a hotel/motel near the port in Miami. We are looking for a place that will shuttle us to and from the port and allow us to park our car on their property during our cruise.
We would be going to Miami on Nov. 1st, 2008.

I'm not sure about the parking, but there have been a lot of posts recommending the Holiday Inn. South Beach hotels are not that far, but again, not sure about the parking or the shuttle either. If you use your "Find" feature and enter Miami Hotels or Miami Shuttle, it will pull up all the posts made and you might find something interesting. Best wishes for a fantastic cruise!

I sure will, but there are a couple on the board that will be doing the inaugural cruise in about a month. I'm so jealous! At least they can come back and make our mouths water

Hope this post isn't too late, just came across it. We stayed at the Intercontinental on Chopin Plaza, Biscayne Bay. Brilliant views of the cruise ships coming into the port and the hotel was lovely. It was also a 5 minute walk to the Bayside Marketplace for a variety of restaurants and shops. Don't know about parking though. It is about 5-10 minute drive to the cruise terminal from here.

We are going on the Norwegian Sky December 15. We booked at the Red Roof Inn Miami Airport for the night before. Parking will be $3.00 per night during our cruise. They have a free shuttle to the cruise port but no pickup. My research shows that a taxi back to the airport should be $24. Then we plan to take the hotel shuttle from the airport back to the hotel to get our car.

I called the hotel directly and spoke to Eddie. He was very helpful and friendly. Hotel number is (305) 871-4221. I pushed "4" to speak to a guest service representative.

Hi DonnaK, welcome to Cruise-Chat. I believe that Cruise Fanatic stayed there as well. She was very pleased with the hotel, if that's the right one. There were quite a few hotels close to the airport, and quite a few near the port. Hope you have a great cruise. I really enjoyed the Sky, except the cruise was just too short! The ship was in great shape, the crew was friendly, and the food was good. They have sticky buns for breakfast in the buffet (the middle part of the buffet-not the ones on either side aft).
