miami to orlando

Our family is thinking of spending a few days at disney after our carribean cruise.What is the best way to get from our Miami port to our hotel in Orlando (on a tight buget)?? There is my husband and myself along with our 3 kids and 2 granpartents. Any advice would be welcome.

You could check out the train or bus service or rent a car. This site might help.

Hire a car - we did this in April. Cost with Dollar was about £26 for a smallish car for the day - you would need a bigger car so cost would be a bit higher

There is a free Dollar shuttle from the Port to the airport where you will pick up the car

I live in Orlando, and no train service between two, yet...so its rent a car for that many people...will be about 4 to 5 hr.drive,depending on traffic...If you fly to Orlando there is Disney bus that goes from there to resorts....remember its Hot and humid here, so dress accordingly...check the city website for tourism for other things to do besides Disney...have a great time....
