Shuttle Service from Port of San Diego

Question #1.. Would anyone reccomend a shuttle service from Port of San Diego to Airport. I'm from east coast and will have to get to the airport to catch a flight no later than about 12:30 in order to make it back to the east coast on the same day. From what I've read, it's better to do a private shuttle than to wait for a bus to fill up. I also guess I will have to do early debarkation. Question #2. What's the earliest you can get off the ship on early debarkation.

The Port of San Diego and the San Diego airport are very close, that is, they are about 15 minutes apart. You will have time measured in hours between disembarking and reaching the airport. A taxi would be the fastest and probably cost effective in comparison to a private shuttle. But this is one issue you should not worry about at all.

You should plan on arriving in San Diego the day before your cruise or even two days (and two days in San Diego is a wonderful travel experience) if the weather is iffy at the time of your cruise.

Thanks fruby. Will there be taxi's already waiting at the port when you get off the ship. If yes, then this day just keeps getting better and better.

I don't think fruby would mind it I jumped in here;
Yes, there will be a large selection of cabs and shuttles right at the pier--no problem.
And I will second fruby's suggestion of taking a cab. It's such a short distance the cab would be the easiest way to the airport.
