Having just returned from 3 nights in Rome prior to our Celebrity Cruise and 1 night following the cruise - I can strongly recommend a Hotel by the name of Rafaello Hotel. Its a smallish hotel, the rooms are large and nicely decorated including fabric on the walls in place of the usual paint or paper. Our two rooms had nice bathrooms, spacious and apart from one of the rooms having a smallish shower - it was a Jaccuzi and worked fine. The other room had a full size shower big enough for two large people to move about easily. The breakfast was Continental and included and had scambled eggs, ham, cheese, various pastries, cereals, milk, various juices and wonderful coffee. It was central. We walked everywhere- Spannish Steps, Tiv Fountain, Forum, Pantheon etc etc. Not cheap but less than lots of other name Hotels - about 200 Euro per night. Strongly recommend
